Consip is a public stock company that was created in 1997 by the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, MEF, which is its sole stockholder.

Its mission is that of providing consultancy and project support aimed at the innovation of the MEF and of other Public Administration structures.

This goal is pursued through the use of information technology and innovative tools for the purchases of the Administrations (framework contracts for the purchase of goods and services, web-based tenders, the Electronic Market of the Public Administration, as well as special projects and specific consultancies on behalf of various Administrations).

In the TELCO sourcing group I’m in charge of the voice and data services, the ISP offer and the Video surveillance offer.

As a Category Manager the whole bid process is under my supervision and I have full responsibility for:

• Market Analysis (both technical and economic) for decision support to the tender feasibility;
• Technical specification (for the tender);
• Economic evaluation (for the tender).

Once the tender is awarded my role involves the management of the contracts (i.e. contracts fulfilment, business progress) and technical/commercial consultancy to the administrations.

Besides I’m fully engaged in the activities we carry on in the following markets:

• Mobile telephony;
• Private branch exchanges;
• Local Area Networks;
• Infomobility.
